Each Otto is hand build, no two are alike. I attempt to match the grain as best I can for the beautiful effects it provides.
This edition is recyled old growth California Redwood with two coats of Danish oil. (no this one is not available, I took it)
I strive to reduce the impact of plactics whenever possible and for my Otto builds I will be using recycled woods. This intial launch will have California Redwood for
the pump house.
Anchoring of a tensioning device is critical for optimum performance. Otto Glassbot® is built upon a large 7” flat glass cup. Superior anchoring force is developed, and it requires less effort to secure it to the glass.
Otto's footprint is small at just 7” x 7.5” and lays less than 3” off the glass.
Otto has twin, large capacity, 2” spools. Larger diameter filaments are now being used which results in spool loading issues. Larger glass parts also require consideration.
Each spool has magnetic braking to prevent uncontrolled unwinding of the spooled filament.
Super Magnet mounted to steel rivet lock pin secures spool when needed for anchoring H-Series Cutting Elements or my FlexCut stainless steel wire. during the cutting process.
Otto can be used with either my H-Series Cutting Elements or my FlexCut stainless steel wire.
